Community Reinvestment: Low Income Based Scholarships

Community Reinvestment: Low Income Based Scholarships Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and Arizona-certified School Tuition Organization (STO) providing K–12 private school tuition scholarships exclusively for low-income and foster-care students in Arizona.

We operate under Arizona’s private school tuition tax credit program in coordination with the Arizona Department of Revenue. Scholarships are income-verified, needs-based, and not assigned to individual donors.

Applications are accepted year-round, and tuition assistance is awarded throughout the year as funds become available. Donations qualify for a dollar-for-dollar Arizona state tax credit for individuals and businesses, while directly supporting income-qualified students across Arizona.

ARIZONA TAX CREDIT DONATIONS RESULT IN SCHOLARSHIPS.

An STO must include the following notice on any printed materials soliciting donations, in applications for scholarships and on its website: A school tuition organization cannot award, restrict or reserve scholarships solely on the basis of donor recommendation. A taxpayer may not claim a tax credit if the taxpayer agrees to swap donations with another taxpayer to benefit either taxpayer's own dependent.
